The Nikon Coolpix L20 has 10 megapixels and a 3.6x optical zoom lens. The main strength of the Coolpix L20 is its ease of use. This is partly due to the fact the Coolpix L20 does not offer all the bells and whistles that you might expect to find on a more expensive and advanced digital camera.
Compared to other similarly priced cameras the Coolpix L20 has a good sized LCD screen. It is 3 inches in size. The extra size can make it that bit easier when you are lining up a shot or reading through the menu items. The menu system Nikon uses is one of the easiest to get to grips with. The large text size also makes it one of the easiest to read.
You will also find the control buttons on the camera are bigger than on many digital cameras. This can be an advantage if you have large hands or you find buttons and controls on some digital cameras rather fiddly.
The Coolpix L20 is powered by two AA batteries.
