The Nikon Coolpix L120 combines plenty of zoom power with ease of use. Although the Coolpix L120 is shaped liked a Digital SLR it is set up more for someone that is looking for a relatively straightforward digital camera, but also wants a lot of zoom. The 14 megapixels available will cover snapshot sized prints as well as larger prints of A4 size.
The lens has 21x zoom. That is enough to get you close in for most photo opportunities. In addition the Coolpix L120 can cope with wide angle shooting too. This is a big help when you are photographing wide scenes. As you might expect with a lens of this length image stabilisation or vibration reduction as Nikon refers to it is available to help minimise any blur caused by camera shake.
There is no viewfinder for composing your shots, but you do have access to a good sized, 3 inch LCD screen. The screen has a much higher resolution than the majority of digital cameras at 921,000 pixels. This should give you much clearer screen displays.
Nikon have included a High Definition movie mode. For close up photography the Coolpix L120 can focus from 1cm away from a subject.
