The Fuji Finepix S9600 is a very advanced digital camera. It has a number of features would expect to find on a digital SLR camera. Among these are a fully manual exposure mode, plus the ability to save images in RAW format. RAW gives you much greater scope if you are planning to edit your photos using a package such as Adobe Photoshop.
One feature I like is the tilting LCD screen. This gives you the chance to adjust the screen position when shooting at a difficult angle or if the sun is directly striking the screen.
The 10.7x optical zoom lens gives you the best of both worlds with telephoto and wide angle capabilities.
Looking at the features Fuji have built into the Finepix S9600 I can see that this camera will appeal to the more serious photographer who wants the convenience of a built in lens or whose budget does not quite run to a Digital SLR and its associated lenses.
