The attraction of the Fuji Finepix S4200 comes from the combination of plenty of zoom power and a relatively low price. This camera has a 24x zoom lens as well as 14 megapixels. It also has a wide range of features for the more experienced photographer.
In many ways the Finepix S4200 is built along the lines of a Digital SLR. It looks like one and has a set of manual exposure controls including aperture priority and shutter priority. Fuji have built in image stabilisation to help keep your pictures looking sharp in lower light. As well as the obvious ability to zoom in on distant subjects the lens has wide angle capabilities too for capturing wider scenes.
Other features include a macro mode that is able to get you in as close as 2cm away from your subject. The Finepix S4200 is also able to capture High Definition movies.
When it comes to composing photos you can choose between using the 3 inch LCD screen or an electronic viewfinder.
Power is supplied by AA batteries.
