The Fuji Finepix S2950 has a similar body shape to a smaller Digital SLR. The main attraction of this camera is likely to be its 18x optical zoom lens. That gives you enough power to zoom in on more distant subjects. As well as helping with more distant subjects the lens also has wide angle capabilities. This helps you to squeeze wider scenes into your photos. Fuji has built image stabilisation into the Finepix S2950. This is more important in reducing blur in your photos with a longer lens like the one this camera has.

Another attraction of the Finepix S2950 is likely to be the fact that it has a set of manual exposure controls. These give you more control over the way your photos will look. In addition to fully manual operation the Finepix S2950 also has both aperture priority and shutter priority settings.

For composing images you can choose between a 3 inch LCD screen and an electronic viewfinder. You are also able to capture High Definition movie footage. As with other brands Fuji has recently improved the way their digital cameras create panoramic shots. The Finepix S2950 has a mode that automatically stitches together your shots into a panorama.

Power is supplied by 4 AA batteries.
