The Fuji Finepix S200EXR is built a little differently to most conventional digital cameras. There are two areas that stand out in making the Finepix S200EXR a little different. The first is the flexibility of the sensor and the second is through multi frame technology.

Starting off by looking at the sensor, it has 12 megapixels. The key point is that you can opt or allow the camera to choose whether or not to use all the megapixels available to you. If you opt not to use the full resolution the Finepix S200EXR is able to carry out different types of processing. For example it can attempt to increase the dynamic range of the photograph. This should lead to more detail being captured in the lighter and darker areas of the photo. Alternatively you can opt for the camera to reduce noise levels in the shot.

The multi frame technology can be used to change the focusing of the shot or to further reduce noise levels. The Finepix S200EXR achieves this by firing off a number of shots each time the shutter button is pressed. It then amalgamates the frames into a single picture. An example of how you can put this to use is you can take a portrait shot or maybe a macro shot and throw the background out of focus in the same way you can with a Digital SLR camera.
