The Fuji Finepix JZ100 is a cheaper pocket camera. The main attraction of this camera is that the 8x zoom lens gives you extra zoom power when compared directly with most digital cameras in this price bracket.
As well as giving you the ability to zoom in on more distant subjects the Finepix JZ100 has a wide angle lens. This allows you to squeeze wider scenes into your photos. Typical examples include sweeping landscapes and pictures of groups of friends.
Fuji have equipped the Finepix JZ100 with image stabilisation. This feature becomes is of greater importance with a digital camera with a longer lens. It helps to ensure your photos remain crisp, especially when lighting levels start to dip.
Other features include the ability to shoot High Definition movies. For close up work there is a macro mode that is able to focus from 5cm away from your subject. There is a 2.7 inch LCD screen for composing your photos and accessing the menu system.
