The Fuji Finepix J30 is part of the Fuji simple and easy range. It is a small, compact digital camera that should fit into a pocket without much of a problem. Emphasis is on ease of use and as you would expect there are not too many advanced features included.

The Finepix J30 is available in four different colours. These are black, silver, blue and red. The design is based around the usual rectangular shape. Fuji has given the Finepix J30 a lacquered finish. This adds a bit of extra sparkle to the camera and helps to make it look more attractive than many entry level digital cameras.

Headline features include 12 megapixels and a 3x optical zoom lens. There is a good sized 2.7 inch LCD screen. In macro mode you are able to focus from 10cm away from the subject. Power is supplied by a rechargeable lithium ion battery. A small amount of storage (10mb) has been built into the camera to allow you to carry out a couple of test shots, but you will need to use an SD or SDHC memory card to put the Finepix J30 fully through its paces. The camera is also able to shoot standard definition movies.
