The Fuji Finepix HS20EXR is the flagship digital camera in the Fuji range. It is packed with the type of features you would normally expect to find on a Digital SLR. Stand out features include a 30x wide angle zoom lens, a full set of manual exposure controls and a comprehensive movie mode.
The 30x zoom lens has a minimum focal length (35mm equivalent) of 24mm. This allows you to squeeze wider scenes into your photos as well as taking advantage of the more obvious telephoto opportunities this length of lens offers. Fuji have built image stabilisation into the lens to help reduce blur in your photos.
The manual exposure controls include aperture priority and shutter priority settings. These help to give you an excellent level of creative control over the photos you take.
If you need access to high speed shooting then the Finepix HS20EXR is capable of shooting full resolution still images at a rate of 8 frames per second. To help with post production of your photos you have the option of capturing your photos in RAW.
Fuji have utilised a CMOS sensor for the Finepix HS20EXR. As well as the high speed shooting options this has opened up further possibilities. For example there is a special Dynamic Range mode. This blends photos together to create better levels of detail in the lightest and darkest areas of a shot. A similar technique is used to increase the quality of shots taken in lowlight situations.
The movie mode is extremely comprehensive. The Finepix HS20EXR is capable of shooting full 1080p High Definition movies. It can also record stereo sound as well as being able to shoot high speed, low resolution movies for slow motion playback.
For composing your photos there is the choice of a 3 inch LCD screen or an electronic viewfinder. The LCD screen tilts to help you achieve a more comfortable shooting position.
