The key to the Casio Exilim EX-ZR10 is the high speed CMOS sensor. This is because it allows for the rapid capture of photos. Casio have used this technology to combine multiple photos into a single image to try to overcome typical problems seen by digital camera owners.

For example if there is a scene with lots of light and dark areas it can be difficult for a digital camera to bring out detail across all areas of the photo. The Exilim EX-ZR10 fires off a batch of photos and then combines them to increase the level of detail showing in those tricky light and dark sections. A similar technique is used to enhance photos taken in lowlight.

Another advantage of the high speed sensor is that you can fire off up to 10 frames per second. This helps ensure you get the perfect shot in a fast moving situation.

The Exilim EX-ZR10 can record High Definition movies with stereo sound. Digital cameras currently record High Definition movies at one of two resolutions the Exilim EX-ZR10 is capable of recording at the higher resolution to give you better quality video footage.

The Exilim EX-ZR10 also has a feature that can be activated to pre record scenes. This means it is taking shots before you press the shutter button.
