The Canon Powershot A2400 IS is a simple, point and shoot digital camera. Based on its features it is a step up from the most basic models, but is still priced towards the lower end of the spectrum. Features include 16 megapixels and a 5x wide angle lens.
Compared with other similarly priced cameras the Powershot A2400 IS has most of the features you would expect to find. The LCD screen is 2.7 inches in size and the camera is capable of recording High Definition movie clips. Image stabilisation has been built in by Canon to help combat unwanted picture blur. For close up shots there is a macro mode that can focus from 3cm away from your subject.
The 16 megapixel sensor is more than enough for making large prints and gives you the option to crop some pictures and still be able to make a small print.
