The Canon IXUS 90 IS offers good quality inside a compact and stylish body. Although this is basically a point and shoot digital camera it also offers a few features that other pocket cameras may not provide. These include image stabilisation, as well as additional flash options such as a red eye clean up tool.
At just over 20mm wide the IXUS 90 IS will slip into most pockets almost unnoticed. Part of the reason why this camera is so slim is that power is supplied by a slimline lithium ion battery. Canon supplies both the battery and charger in the box.
Also included in the box is a 32mb SD card to get you started. This is enough to run a few tests. Therefore it is a good idea to pick up a memory card with a greater capacity to go with the camera. The IXUS 90 IS is compatible with SD and SDHC cards.
Although the IXUS 90 IS does not have a viewfinder it does have a larger than standard 3 inch LCD screen.
