The Canon IXUS 125 HS is one of the cheaper pocket sized digital cameras available from Canon. Despite the price the IXUS 125 HS has a number of features that mark it out as a step above a lot of more basic models. It has 16 megapixels and a 5x zoom lens.
Running through the features there is a 3 inch LCD screen. This compares well against the 2.7 inch screens more commonly found at the cheaper end of the market. The IXUS 125 HS is capable of recording Full 1920 x 1080 pixels, High Definition movies. As well as being available for still photos image stabilisation is available for movies. This helps to keep them looking that bit steadier. There is a movie mode for shooting movies that you can play back in slow motion. In addition there are a set of scene modes you can use when recording a movie.
For close up photography the IXUS 125 HS has a macro mode that is able to focus from 3cm away from your subject.
