Overview
The Canon EOS 5D Mark II steps up from the previous model with a 21 megapixel, full frame CMOS sensor. Canon has also introduced the ability to shoot HD quality movie footage.
Other improvements to the EOS 5D Mark II include a 3 inch LCD screen. The screen includes a Live View mode, allowing you to compose your shots on the LCD screen as well as through the viewfinder. The ISO range has been increased to 25600, boosting the camera’s lowlight capabilities.
For high speed shooting the EOS 5D Mark II is equipped with a continuous shooting mode that can rattle off shots at a top speed of 3.9 frames per second when images are stored as Jpegs.
As is fast becoming the standard there is an integrated dust prevention system. This system has three components. The first element works to reduce internal dust generation. The second cleans the sensor mechanism. The third is the ability to map dust spots for later removal with supplied software.
