Overview

The Canon EOS IDs Mark III is the top of the range Canon Digital SLR. It has a full frame, 21 megapixel CMOS sensor. This makes the camera body compatible with the Canon EF range of lenses.
High speed shooting is available through a burst mode that can shoot at up to 5 frames per second. The maximum number of Jpeg images that can be recorded when using burst mode is 56. Up to 12 RAW images can be captured by the burst mode.
Fast start up and response times are driven by the camera’s dual DIGIC III processors.
The AF system uses 19 cross type points. These are available across the AF area to help you focus on off centre subjects. There are a total of 26 AF assist points.
As the Canon EOS IDs Mark III is likely to be used in all weathers it has a weather sealed body. The body is made from a magnesium alloy to help it stand up to the rigors of every day use.
Dust prevention is built in too. This helps to keep the sensor free of dust particles. For composing shots Canon has incorporated a Live View mode. The LCD screen is 3 inches in size.
