The Sony Cybershot DSC W270 is a 12 megapixel digital camera. It has a 5x, wide angle lens. The focal length of the lens is equivalent to 28 - 140mm in 35mm format. You can increase the amount of zoom available to 31x when shooting at lower resolutions. 2x digital zoom is also available.

There are a number of preset scene modes. These are: Twilight, Twilight Portrait, Twilight using a tripod, Backlight, Backlight Portrait, Landscape, Macro and Portrait.

You can shoot High Definition movies with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The top recording speed is 30 frames per second. Sound can be recorded and zoom can be applied before shooting.

Verdict:	This camera does not really stand out from the crowd. It takes a decent enough snapshot and its features include a wide angle lens and High Definition movies. It is just lacking that killer reason for making me say, go out and buy this camera.
