Sony DSC W130 Features
The Sony DSC W130 is an 8 megapixel digital camera with a slightly longer than standard 4x optical zoom lens.
You can increase the magnification factor of the lens up to 19x when shooting at lower resolutions. 8x digital zoom is available as well. The capabilities of the lens can be further enhanced by the addition of conversion lenses.
The maximum aperture is f2.8 wide and f5.8 telephoto. The focal length of the lens is equivalent to 32 - 128mm in 35mm format.

Focusing
For close up focusing the DSC W130 can focus from 4cm from the subject. Face detection focusing is available for portrait shots.
LCD Screen and Viewfinder
As well as an optical viewfinder there is a 2.5 inch LCD screen. The screen is made up of 115,000 dots.
Flash
The built in flash unit has a maximum range of 3.9m. This falls to 1.9m when the zoom lens is in use. The flash modes are Auto, Forced Flash, Slow Syncro and No Flash. Red-eye Reduction and Daylight Synchronized Flash are also available. The power of the flash can also be adjusted.
Scene Modes
There is a small selection of scene modes. These are Twilight, Twilight portrait, Soft snap, Landscape, Beach, Snow, Fireworks, High Sensitivity and Smile Shutter.
Movies
TV quality movies can be recorded. These have a maximum resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and a top speed of 30 frames per second. Sound can be recorded and zoom can be applied before you start to shoot the movie.

Shutter speeds are set automatically by the DSC W130 in the range 1/8 seconds to 1/1600 seconds.

Sony supplies all the required software and cables to connect the DSC W130 to a computer, television set and compatible printer.
