The Sony DSC T77 is a 10 megapixel digital camera with a 4x optical zoom lens. If you shoot at lower resolutions a feature called Smart Zoom becomes available. This can boost the zoom to a maximum of 22x. 2x digital zoom is also available.

The focal length of the lens is equivalent to 35 - 140mm in 35mm format.

Settings are selected via a touch controlled LCD screen.

There are a number of preset scene modes. These are: Twilight, Twilight portrait, Soft snap, Landscape, Beach, Snow, Fireworks, High speed shutter, High Sensitivity, Underwater and Gourmet.

You can shoot TV quality movies with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. The top recording speed is 30 frames per second. Sound can be recorded and zoom can be applied during shooting.

All the necessary cables and software are supplied to attach the Sony DSC T77 to a computer, television set and compatible printer.

Verdict:	This camera has a lot going for it. It is super slim and looks great. You are also likely to be impressed by the touch controlled LCD screen. Picture quality does not quite live up to the style and design, but you should still be able to take a decent snapshot with this camera.
