Sony DSC T300 Features
The Sony DSC T300 is a 10 megapixel digital camera with a 5x optical zoom lens. As with other Sony digital cameras, there is a feature called Smart Zoom. This allows you to increase the amount of zoom available when shooting at lower resolutions up to a maximum of 28x. 2x digital zoom is available as well.
The maximum aperture of the lens is f/3.5 - f4.4. The focal length is equivalent to 33 - 165mm in 35mm format.

Focusing
In macro mode the DSC T300 can focus from 8cm. Face detection is also available for sharper portrait shots.
LCD
The large 3.5 inch LCD screen is made up of 230,000 dots. It is controlled by touch.
Flash
The flash modes are Auto, Forced Flash, Slow Syncro and No Flash. Red eye reduction can be turned on and off through the menu. The maximum range of the flash unit is 3.5m. This falls to 2.7m when the lens is fully zoomed in.
Scene Modes
The preprogrammed scene modes are Twilight, Twilight portrait, Soft snap, Landscape, Beach, Snow, Fireworks, High speed shutter, High Sensitivity, Smile shutter and Underwater.
Movies
The maximum resolution for movies is 640 x 480 pixels. The top speed is 30 frames per second. Sound can be captured and zoom can be applied during recording.
