Samsung Digimax NV11 Features
The Samsung Digimax NV11 is a 10 megapixel digital camera with a 5x optical zoom lens. The focal length of the lens is equivalent to 38 - 190 mm in 35mm format. 5x digital zoom is also available.
Basics

Focusing
For close up focusing you can focus from 1cm away from the subject in super macro mode. Manual focusing allows you to set the focusing distance.
LCD
The LCD monitor is a large 2.7 inches. It is made up of 230,000 pixels. I found it to work well even in sunny conditions. There is no viewfinder.
Flash
The flash pops up on top of the camera. This can help to keep red eye at bay. If a photo does have red eye then there is also a clean up feature you can use after a photo has been taken. The flash modes are Auto, Auto & Red-eye reduction, Fill-in flash, Slow sync, Flash off, Red-eye Fix. The maximum range of the flash unit is 4.9m. The range of the flash falls to 3m when you zoom in.
Scene Modes
The special scene modes available are: Night, Portrait, Children, Landscape, Biz, Close-up, Text, Sunset, Dawn, Backlight, Fireworks, Beach & Snow. By nominating a scene mode you give the camera some extra assistance to help it choose the optimum settings for the shot.
Movies
You can record sound and also use the zoom when recording a movie. The maximum resolution for a movie is 30 frames per second and the top recording speed is 30 frames per second.
Advanced Features
With the Digimax NV11 you have access to fully manual exposure controls. These include aperture and shutter priority. Shutter speeds can be set in the range 15 - 1200 seconds and the aperture between F2.8 - 7.3 (wide) and F4.4 - F11 (tele).
Other more advanced features include metering (Multi, Center weighted, Spot), exposure compensation (±2EV (1/3EV steps)), ISO equivalent (Auto, 80, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600) and white balance (Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Fluorescent_H, Fluorescent_L, Tungsten + 2 custom settings). Continuous shooting is also available.

All the necessary cables and software are supplied to connect the Digimax NV11 to a television set, computer and compatible printer.
