Samsung Digimax i70 Features
The Samsung Digimax i70 is a 7 megapixel digital camera with a 3x optical zoom lens. The focal length of the lens is equivalent to 38 - 114mm in 35mm format. The maximum aperture of the lens is f3.5 - f4.5. 5x digital zoom is also available.

Focusing
For close up work the Digimax i70 can focus from 1cm away on super macro mode. For portrait shots there is a special face detection setting.
LCD
The LCD screen is a large 3 inches in size and is made up of around 230,000 pixels. There is no viewfinder.
Flash
Flash works to a maximum distance of 3.6m. This falls to 2.8m when the zoom lens is in use. The flash modes are Auto, Auto & Red-eye reduction, Fill-in flash, Slow sync, Flash off, Red eye fix.
Scene Modes
The scene modes available are Night, Portrait, Children, Landscape, Close-up Sunset, Dawn, Backlight, Fireworks, Beach & Snow, Cafe, Food and Self shot.
Playback
After a photo has been taken you can add colour filters (BW, Sepia, Red, Blue, Green, Negative, Custom Color). You can also add a colour mask where most of the photo is turned to black and white. Levels of brightness, contrast and saturation can be adjusted and there is a red eye fix available. There are also a range of fun effects. These allow you to create a cartoon speech bubble, add a photo frame and make composite photos. Text can be added to a photo. You can even apply some supplied cartoon like stickers to a photo.
Movies
Movies with sound can be recorded. Zoom can also be used while recording is in progress. The maximum resolution is 640 x 480 pixels. The top speed is 30 frames per second.
Advanced Features
More advanced settings include exposure compensation (±2EV (1/3EV steps)), white balance (automatic, daylight, cloudy, fluorescent - h, fluorescent - l, tungsten and custom), sensitivity (Auto, 80, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1000) and metering (multi point, centre weighted, spot).
Continuous shooting is also available.
Shutter speeds are set automatically by the camera. These work in the range 16 seconds to 1/2000 seconds.
Computer - Printers - Television
The Digimax i70 can be connected to a computer, television set and compatible printer. All the necessary cables and software are provided in the box.
