The Ricoh R8 has 10 megapixels and a 7.1x wide angle, optical zoom lens. The focal length of the lens is equivalent to 28 - 200mm in 35mm format. 4.8x digital zoom is available too.

Editing
After a picture has been taken you can adjust brightness, contrast and white balance.

The maximum resolution for a movie is 640 x 480 pixels. The top recording speed is 30 frames per second. You can zoon in before you start recording, but only digital zoom can be adjusted once recording starts.

Verdict:	This is a retro style camera with a wide angle lens. Picture quality is good and I like the camera. It is a bit bigger than pocket sized, but it does have its own distinctive style.
