Panasonic DMC TZ8 The Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ8 is a 12 megapixel digital camera with a 12x optical zoom lens. Further options to increase the amount of zoom available include extra zoom and intelligent zoom. Extra zoom becomes available if you decrease the resolution you are shooting at. For example if you decrease the number of megapixels to 3 you have access to 23.4x zoom. If you switch to intelligent zoom 16x zoom becomes available. Intelligent zoom uses a combination of optical and digital zoom.

The lens has wide angle capabilities. It has a focal length equivalent to 25 - 300mm in 35mm format.

Other key features include manual exposure controls, including aperture and shutter priority modes, image stabilisation and High Definition movies.
