Panasonic DMC LX3 Features

The Panasonic DMC LX3 is an advanced 10 megapixel digital camera. It offers 2.5x optical zoom. If you are shooting at lower megapixels the amount of zoom available increases to a maximum of 4.5x zoom available. 4x digital zoom can also be used.

The lens is wide angle with a focal length equivalent to 24 - 60mm in 35mm format.

Film Mode

There are special settings that allow you to try to mimic the results you can get by using different types of film. The settings are standard, dynamic, nature, smooth, vibrant, nostalgic, dynamic black and white, smooth black and white and multi film.

LCD

The LCD monitor is 3 inches in size. The screen is made up of around 460,000 dots. You can buy separately an optical viewfinder.

Flash

The flash modes are: Auto, Auto/Red-eye Reduction, Forced On, Slow Sync./Red-eye Reduction, Forced Off, Flash Synchro 1st, 2nd. The maximum flash range is 8.3m. This falls to 5.9m when the zoom lens is fully extended.

Scene Modes

There are a number of preset scene modes. Movies

You can shoot High Definition movies with a widescreen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The top recording speed is 24 frames per second. Sound can be recorded and zoom can be applied before shooting starts.
