The Panasonic DMC LS75 is a 7 megapixel digital camera with a 3x optical zoom lens. If you shoot at 3 megapixels zoom can be increased to 4.5x through a feature called extra zoom.
The focal length of the lens is equivalent to 35 - 105mm in 35mm format. 4x digital zoom is also available.
In macro mode the LS75 is able to focus from 5cm away from the subject.
The 2.5 inch LCD screen is made up of around 115,000 pixels. It has a special high angle mode. This makes it easier to see the screen when the camera is held above eye level to take a photo.
The flash modes are Auto, Auto/Red-eye Reduction, Forced On and Forced Off. The maximum range is 4.7m (Wide) and 2.6m (Tele).
There are a selection of scene modes: Portrait, Soft Skin, Scenery, Sports, Night Portrait, Night Scenery, Food, Party, Candle, Fireworks, Starry Sky, Beach, Aerial photo, Snow, High sensitivity, Baby1, Baby2, Sunset and Pet.
Movies for playback on a widescreen television can be recorded. The maximum resolution is 848 x 480 pixels with a top speed of 30 frames per second. Zoom can only be applied before recording starts. The movies are silent.
The camera's advanced features are Sensitivity (Auto / 100 / 200 / 400 / 800 / 1250 (High Sensitivity Mode : 3200)), White Balance (Auto / Daylight / Cloudy / Shade / Halogen / White Set) and Exposure Compensation (1/3 EV step, -2 - +2 EV).
Continuous shooting is also available.
Shutter speeds are set automatically in the range 8 - 1/2000 seconds. In starry sky mode this can be increased to 60 seconds. The aperture is also set automatically in the range Wide: F2.8 / F8.0 (2 steps) Tele: F5.0 / F14.0 (2 steps).
Cables and software are supplied to attach the DMC LS75 to a television, computer and compatible printer.
