Panasonic DMC FX33 Features
The Panasonic DMC FX33 is an 8 megapixel digital camera with a 3.6x wide angle zoom lens. The amount of zoom can be increased when shooting at lower resolutions. The maximum zoom is 5.7x when shooting at 2 megapixels. 4x digital zoom is also available.
The focal length of the lens is equivalent to 28-100mm in 35mm format. The maximum aperture of the lens is Wide: F2.8 / F8.0 (2 steps) Tele: F5.6 / F16 (2 steps).

Focusing
In macro mode the DMC FX33 can focus from 5cm away from the subject.
LCD
The LCD screen is 2.5 inches in size and is made up of around 207,000 pixels. The screen has a special setting that makes it easier to see if you need to hold the camera above eye level to take a shot.
Flash
The built in flash unit has the following modes: Auto, Auto/Red-eye Reduction, Forced On, Slow Sync./Red-eye Reduction and Forced Off.
Scene Modes
Panasonic have built a good range of scene modes into the DMC FX33. These are: Portrait, Soft Skin, Self-Portrait, Scenery, Sports, Night Portrait, Night Scenery, Food, Party, Candle Light, Baby1, Baby2, Pet, Sunset, High sensitivity, Hi-Speed Burst, Starry Sky, Fireworks, Beach, Snow, Aerial photo and Underwater.
Movies
A special mode for wide screen movies has been included. This has a resolution of 848 x 480 pixels and a top speed of 30 frames per second. Sound can be recorded, but zoom can only be applied before recording starts.
Advanced Features
Among the more advanced features are Sensitivity (Auto /100 / 200 / 400 / 800 / 1250 / 1600), White Balance (Auto / Daylight / Cloudy / Shade / Halogen / White Set), Exposure Compensation (Auto / Daylight / Cloudy / Shade / Halogen / White Set), auto bracketing (1/3 EV step, +/-2 EV) and backlight compensation.
Continuous shooting and a burst mode are also available.
Shutter speeds work in the range 8 - 1/2000 seconds. These are controlled automatically by the camera.
Computer - Printers - Television
Cables and software are supplied to attach the DMC FX33 to a television, computer and compatible printer.
