Panasonic DMC FX100 Features
The Panasonic DMC FX100 is a 12 megapixel digital camera with a 3.6x wide angle lens. When shooting at lower resolutions you can increase zoom by a maximum 2.1x by using a feature known as extra zoom. 4x digital zoom is also available. The focal length of the lens is equivalent to 28 - 100mm in 35mm format.

Focusing
In macro mode the DMC FX100 can focus from 5cm away from the subject.
LCD
The 2.5 inch LCD screen is made up of around 207,000 pixels. I found the screen very easy to see. It also has a special high angle mode. This helps you to view the screen if you need to hold the camera above eye level to take a photo.
Flash
The flash modes available are Auto, Auto/Red-eye Reduction, Forced On, Slow Sync./Red-eye Reduction and Forced Off. Panasonic have not supplied a maximum flash range.
Scene Modes
You can a select scene mode from Portrait, Soft Skin, Self-Portrait, Scenery, Sports, Night Portrait, Night Scenery, Food, Party, Candle Light, Baby1, Baby2, Pet, Sunset, High sensitivity, Hi-Speed Burst, Starry Sky, Fireworks, Beach, Snow, Aerial photo and Underwater.
Movies
Movies with sound can be recorded. Zoom can be applied before you start shooting a movie, but not while recording is in progress. You can shoot movies for widescreen televisions at a maximum resolution of 848 x 480 pixels. More standard movies can be recorded at 640 x 480 pixels. The top recording speed is 30 frames per second.
Advanced Features
More advanced features include sensitivity (ISO Auto / 80 / 100 / 200 / 400 / 800 / 1250 / 1600), white balance (Auto / Daylight / Cloudy / Shade / Halogen / White Set), exposure compensation (1/3 EV step, +/-2 EV), metering (Intelligent Multiple / Center Weighted / Spot), and bracketing (+/- 1/3 EV).
You may also use backlight compensation when the camera is in simple mode.
Shutter speeds are determined automatically by the DMC FX100 and work in the range 8 seconds to 1/2000 seconds.
In burst mode the camera can take a maximum of 7 photos at a maximum rate of 3 frames per second.
Computer - Printers - Television
Cables and software are supplied to attach the DMC FX100 to a television, computer and compatible printer.
