Panasonic DMC FT1 Features
The Panasonic Lumix DMC FT1 is waterproof, dustproof and shockproof. It has 12 megapixels and a wide angle, 4.6x optical zoom lens. Extra zoom becomes available when shooting at lower resolutions. This can increase zoom up to a maximum of 9.1x. 4x digital zoom is another option available to you. The focal length of the lens is equivalent to 28 - 128mm in 35mm format.

The LCD monitor is 2.7 inches in size. The screen is made up of around 230,000 dots.
Flash
The flash modes are: Auto, Auto/Red-eye Reduction, Slow Sync, Forced On, Forced Off
The maximum flash range is 5.1m. This falls to 2.8m when the zoom lens is fully extended.
Scene Modes
There are a number of preset scene modes. These are: Portrait, Soft Skin, Transform, Self-Portrait, Scenery, Panorama Assist, Night Portrait, / Night Scenery, Food, Party, Candle Light, Baby1, Baby2, Pet, Sunset, High sensitivity, / Hi-Speed Burst (Image Priority / Speed Priority), Flash Burst, Starry Sky, Fireworks, / Aerial photo, Pinhole, Film Grain and Underwater.
Movies
You can shoot High Definition movies with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The top recording speed is 30 frames per second. Sound can be recorded and zoom can be applied while shooting. There is a dedicated start movie button on the back of the Lumix DMC FT1.
You also have access to a set of movie scene modes. These are: Portrait, Soft Skin, Transform, Self-Portrait, Scenery, Low Light, / Food, Party, Candle Light, Sunset, Beach & Surf, Snow, Aerial, Pinhole, Film Grain, / Underwater, High Sensitivity / (Activated by selecting Still Picture Scene Mode then pressing movie button. Still Picture Scene Modes without corresponding Movie Scene Mode is recorded in Normal Mode).
