The Panasonic Lumix DMC FS15 is a 12 megapixel digital camera with a 5x optical zoom lens. The amount of zoom can be increased when shooting at lower resolutions. There is a maximum 9.8x zoom available when shooting at 3 megapixels or less. 4x digital zoom is also available. The focal length of the lens is equivalent to 29 - 145mm in 35mm format. This gives the Lumix DMC FS15 wide angle capabilities.

You can shoot movies with a widescreen resolution of 848 x 480 pixels. These are suitable for playback on a widescreen television. The top recording speed is 30 frames per second. Sound can be recorded and zoom can be applied before shooting starts.

Verdict:	This camera does a good all round job. It is a mid priced pocket camera offering good value for money. It has a few extra features tucked away and I like the extra zoom that becomes available when shooting at lower resolutions.
