Olympus MJU 1050SW Features
The Olympus MJU 1050SW is a 10 megapixel digital camera with a 3x optical zoom. The focal length of the lens is equivalent to 38 - 114 mm in 35mm format. 5x digital zoom is also available.
The main attraction of the MJU 1050SW is that it is waterproof and shockproof. You can submerge it in water to a depth of 3m or drop it from a height of 1.5m and no damage should occur. It is also freezeproof to -10 degrees centigrade. Another innovation is that there are items that can be controlled simply through tapping the body of the MJU 1050SW.

LCD
The LCD monitor is 2.7 inches in size. The screen is made up of around 230,000 dots.
Flash
The flash modes are: on, off, automatic and red eye reduction. The maximum flash range is 5.3m. This falls to 3.7m when the zoom lens is fully extended. Both of these figures are at ISO 800. At lower ISO ratings the range is reduced.
Scene Modes
There are a number of preset scene modes. These are: Portrait, Landscape, Landscape with Portrait, Night Scene, Night Scene with portrait, Sports, Indoor, Candle, Self-portrait, Available Light Portrait, Sunset, Fireworks, Cuisine, Behind Glass, Documents, Auction, Shoot & Select 1, Shoot & Select 2, Smile Shot, Beach and Snow, Pre-Capturing Movie, Underwater Snapshot, Snow.
Editing
After a photo has been taken you can change it to black and white or sepia. There are also options to fix red eye and saturation. Brightness can also be adjusted.
Movies
You can shoot movies with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. The top recording speed is 30 frames per second. Sound can be recorded and zoom can be applied before shooting starts.
