Olympus FE-310 Features
The Olympus FE-310 has 8 megapixels and a 5x optical zoom lens. The focal length of the lens is 37 - 185 mm. The maximum aperture is f/3.2 (wide) f/4.8 (tele). 4x digital zoom is also available.

Focusing
In super macro mode the FE-310 is able to focus from 5cm away from the subject. Face detection focusing is available for sharper portraits.
LCD
The LCD screen is 2.5 inches in size and is made up of around 154,000 pixels.
Flash
The built in flash unit has a maximum working range of 4.7m. This falls to nearer 3m when the zoom lens is in use. Flash modes are on, off, red eye reduction and automatic.
Scene Modes
There are a number of scene modes you can select from. These help the camera to choose the optimum settings. The scenes are: Portrait, Landscape, Night Scene with portrait, Sports, Indoor, Candle, Self-portrait, Sunset, Fireworks, Behind Glass, Cuisine, Documents and Auction.
Movies
You can shoot a movie with a maximum resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. The top speed is 15 frames per second. Sound can be recorded. Zoom can only be applied before you start recording the movie.
Advanced Features
Among the more advanced features are ISO (80, 100, 200, 400, 640) and exposure compensation (+/- 2 EV / 1/3 steps).
Shutter speeds are set automatically in the range 1/2 to- 1/2000 seconds. It night scene mode the camera can increase the time to a maximum of four seconds.
Computer - Printers - Television
Cables and software are supplied to attach the FE-310 to a television, computer and compatible printer.
