Megapixels and Zoom
The Nikon Coolpix S510 is an 8 megapixel digital camera with a 3x optical zoom lens. The lens aperture is equivalent to 35 - 105mm in 35mm format. The lens aperture is f/2.8-4.7. Up to 4x digital zoom is also available.

Scene Modes
The camera's scene modes are portrait, landscape, sports, night portrait, party/indoors, beach/snow, sunset, dawn/dusk, night landscape, close up, museum, fireworks, copy and backlight.
Movies
The top speed for shooting movies is 30 frames per second. The maximum resolution is 640 x 480 pixels. Sound can be recorded with a movie. Optical zoom can be applied before movie recording starts. Digital zoom can be applied during recording.
Advanced Features
Advanced features include metering (Matrix, Center-Weighted, Spot), ISO (64, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 2000), white balance (manual, daylight, incandescent, fluorescent, cloudy and flash) and exposure compensation (-2 to +2 EV in 1/3 EV steps).
Continuous shooting is also available.
Shutter speeds are set automatically by the camera in the range 4 seconds to 1/1500 seconds.

All the necessary cables and software are supplied to connect the camera to a compatible printer, television and computer.
