The Nikon Coolpix P6000 has 13.5 megapixels and a wide angle 4x optical zoom. The focal length of the lens is equivalent to 28 - 112mm in 35mm format.

In addition to these features the Coolpix P6000 can also shoot time lapse movies and produce multi shot images. A multi shot image is made up of a grid containing 16 mini photos. There is also a best shot selector. This feature takes a number of photos, but only saves the one it considers to be the best one.

All the necessary cables and software are supplied to attach the Nikon Coolpix P6000 to a computer, television set and compatible printer.

The Coolpix P6000 is compatible with an adapter ring (UR-E21) and a Wide-angle Converter (WC-E76). It is also compatible with the following speedlights (SB-400, SB-600, SB-900).

A wireless remote control is available too.
