The Fuji Finepix Z35 is a 10 megapixel digital camera with a 3x optical zoom lens. This is a basic point and shoot model. Aside from the standard features you find on a typical starter digital camera there is only a blog mode that stands out as an extra.

The focal length of the lens is equivalent to 35 - 105mm in 35mm format. The Finepix Z35 also has 5.7x digital zoom. The camera runs on a lithium ion battery. Fuji supplies the battery with the camera, plus all the equipment you need to charge it.

The LCD monitor is 2.5 inches in size. The screen is made up of around 230,000 dots. I found the screen dark and difficult to see,

The flash modes are: Auto, Slow Synchro On and Off.

There are a number of preset scene modes. These are: Portrait, Landscape, Sport, Night, Night (Tripod), Sunset, Snow, Beach, Party, Flower, Text and Natural Light

You can shoot movies with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. The top recording speed is 30 frames per second. Sound can be recorded and zoom can be applied before shooting.

Among the more advanced features are:

• Shutter Speed: 3 seconds to 1/1000 seconds (set automatically)
• Aperture: f3.7 - f8 (Wide) f4.2 - f9 (Telephoto) (set automatically)

All the necessary cables and software are supplied to attach the Fuji Finepix Z35 to a computer, television set and compatible printer.

Verdict:	This is a simple fun camera. It is aimed at younger people who like to party. The price tag is low and the design is bright and colourful. Picture is not great, but then again this camera is aimed at people looking for fun snapshots rather than technically top draw photography.
