The Fuji Finepix S1500 has 10 megapixels and a12x optical zoom lens. The focal length of the lens is equivalent to 33 - 396mm in 35mm format. 5.7x digital zoom is also available.

There are a number of preset scene modes. These are: Portrait, Landscape, Sport, Night, Night (Tripod), Natural Light, Fireworks, Sunset, Snow, Beach, Museum, Party, Flower and Text. There is also a mode where the Finepix S1500 selects the most likely scene automatically from a list of six common scenarios.

You can shoot movies with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. The top recording speed is 30 frames per second. Sound can be recorded and zoom can be applied during shooting.

All the necessary cables and software are supplied to attach the Fuji Finepix S1500 to a computer, television set and compatible printer.

Verdict:	This camera offers manual exposure modes as well as a viewfinder, image stabilisation and the ability to zoom in when shooting a movie. It scores well for ease of use when compared to other, similar digital cameras.
