Casio Exilim EX-Z19 Features
The Casio Exilim EX-Z19 has 9 megapixels and a 3x optical zoom lens. The focal length of the lens is equivalent to 37.5 - 112.5mm in 35mm format. 4x digital zoom is also available.

Focusing
Focusing Options include: auto focus, macro mode, pan focus, infinity mode and manual focus. In macro mode the Exilim EX-Z19 can focus from 15cm away from the subject.
LCD
The LCD monitor is 2.6 inches in size. The screen is made up of around 114,960 dots. You can opt to display key menu options down the right hand side of the screen. I found the screen could make scenes look over exposed when they were not.
Flash
The range of the flash is 2.8m when the zoom is not being used. This reduces to 1.4m when the zoom is fully extended. The flash modes are: Auto, Flash On, Flash Off, Soft Flash and Red Eye Reduction.
Scene Modes
There are a number of preset scene modes. These are: portrait, scenery, children, sports, candlelight portrait, party, pet, flower, soft flowing water, sundown, night scene, night scene portrait, fireworks, food, text, auction and backlight.
Movies
You can shoot movies with a resolution of 848 x 480 pixels for playback on widescreen televisions. The top recording speed is 30 frames per second. Sound can be recorded and zoom can be applied before shooting starts. You can also shoot old fashioned, silent movies. In addition there is a pre record movie feature and one that allows easy upload to YouTube. The maximum duration of a movie is 10 minutes.
