Canon Powershot A2000 IS Features
The Canon Powershot A2000 IS is a 10 megapixel digital camera with a 6x optical zoom. If you are prepared to shoot at a lower resolution then extra zoom becomes available.
The focal length of the lens is equivalent to 36 - 216mm in 35mm format. The aperture is set automatically with the maximum aperture being f/3.2 (wide) and f/5.9 (tele).

Flash
The flash modes are: Auto, On and Off. Red-eye Reduction and Slow Sync can be turned on and off. The maximum flash range is 3.5m. This falls to 2m when the zoom lens is fully extended. To increase the power of the flash you can buy a separate flash unit. This is Canon's High Power Flash HF-DC1.
Scene Modes
There are a number of preset scene modes. These are: Portrait, Landscape, Night Snapshot, Indoor, Kids & Pets, Night Scene, Sunset, Foliage, Snow, Beach, Fireworks, Aquarium and ISO 3200.
Movies
The Powershot A2000 IS can shoot standard TV quality movies with a maximum resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and a top speed of 30 frames per second. Sound can be recoded and zoom applied before shooting starts. Digital zoom can be applied during recording.
