Canon IXUS 130 Features
The Canon IXUS 130 is a small pocket digital camera. It has 14 megapixels and a 4x optical zoom lens. The focal length of the lens is equivalent to 28 - 112mm in 35mm format. This gives it wide angle capabilities. 4x digital zoom is also available.
Other attractive features include the ability to shoot High Definition movies, a 2.7 inch LCD screen and image stabilisation.

You have access to AF servo to track moving objects. For close up work the IXUS 130 can focus from 3cm away from the subject.
LCD
The LCD monitor is 2.7 inches in size. The screen is made up of around 230,000 dots.
Flash
The flash modes are: automatic, on and off. You can also apply slow sync speed and red eye reduction. In addition flash exposure compensation and flash exposure lock are available.
The maximum flash range is 4m. This falls to 2m when the zoom lens is fully extended.
You can boost the power of the flash by adding a Canon High Power Flash Unit (HF-DC1).
Scene Modes
There are a number of preset scene modes. These are: Portrait, Night Snapshot, Kids & Pets, Indoor, Smart Shutter(Smile, Wink Self-Timer, FaceSelf-Timer), Low Light(3.5MP), Color Accent, Color Swap, Fish-eye Effect, Miniature Effect, Beach, Underwater, Foliage, Snow, Fireworks, Long Shutter and Stitch Assist.
Movies
The IXUS 130 can shoot High Definition movies with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The top recording speed is 30 frames per second. Sound can be recorded. Optical zoom can be applied before shooting and digital zoom can be applied while shooting is in progress.

Waterproof Case
A waterproof case is available for the IXUS 130. The case is the WP-DC37. It is waterproof to depths of 40m. You can also buy a waterproof case weight. This has a product code of WW-DC1.
