It is one of the most photographed landmarks on the Jurassic Coast, and was formed by softer rocks being eroded away behind the hard limestone.

More than 200.000 visitors come to Durdle Door each year.

Thomas Hardy's 'Far From the Madding Crowd' had scenes filmed her in 1967.
