Digital Cameras Under £100
If you are looking for digital cameras under £100 you may be in for a pleasant surprise. If you choose carefully the camera you buy is likely to offer good picture quality for snapshots, ease of use and a fair range of features.
It almost goes without saying that manufacturers will have made some compromises to keep the cost of a digital camera under £100. These compromises can include smaller LCD screens, standard definition movies, slower response times, reduction in picture quality, shorter battery life and in some cases a lower build quality.
Despite this there are some very good digital cameras available for under £100 or just over that price. In my opinion this end of the market can offer some excellent value for money, especially if all you are after is a simple point and shoot camera.

Canon Powershot A1300 Rating: 81/100

The Powershot A1300 is quite a basic digital camera. It does not have a great range of features, but there are enough there to happily support general snapshot photography. Features include a wide angle lens, a 2.7 inch LCD screen and a macro mode that can focus from 3cm away from your subject. Power is supplied by AA batteries. This camera also has a viewfinder.

Olympus VR-340 Rating: 80/100
Simple and Easy 16 Megapixels 10x Zoom
The VR-340 packs in a lot of zoom for the price and body size. Features include High Definition movies, a 3D still photography mode and a 3 inch LCD screen. There is also image stabilisation and you can charge the battery via a USB port. The VR-340 has a metal body and is compatible with Eye-Fi memory cards. These cards allow wireless downloads of your photos.
