Details of Sony DSC P10 and Where to Find the Best Prices

Digital Cameras The Sony DSC P10 is aimed at anyone who likes to take holiday snaps or photographs of special occasions or get togethers. It is a very small and easy to use digital camera. Its size (W/H/D): 4 1/4" x 2" x 1 7/16" (105 x 51.5 x 35.8mm) and weight 7.5 oz (206g) (without batteries and memory stick) means that it can be slipped into a pocket or small bag and can be carried everywhere with you ready for use. The Sony DSC P10 is very simple to operate. You just switch the camera on and it is ready to take pictures. It operates fully automatically and handles all the key settings such as focus and exposure, so that all you need to do is click the shutter button to capture the picture. All in all this digital camera operates very much like a traditional point and shoot or compact 35mm traditional film camera.

The Sony DSC P10 is a 5 megapixel digital camera and this will allow you to produce high quality prints of up to 16x20" in size. It has a 3x optical zoom lens. Images are captured and stored on a memory stick. Power is supplied to the camera through AA batteries. As with all digital cameras we recommend the use of rechargeable batteries and you should include the price of a recharger in your budget.

For composing and reviewing pictures the Sony DSC P10 has a 1.5" LCD screen. Other useful features include five preset modes that help you to take good photographs under the following conditions twilight, twilight portrait, landscape, beach, and snow. There is also the facility to optimise white balance settings for daylight, cloudy, fluorescent, and incandescent lighting conditions. Four different picture effects can be used. These are black and white, solarize, sepia and negative art. The camera's built in flash also assists with red eye reduction. There is also a facility to take short movies with sound. Images can be viewed through your television as well as on a computer.
