The Olympus range of digital cameras encompasses just about every type of camera you can think of. To start with there is a large number of easy to use models. Moving up through the range you will also find more advanced models with manual exposure controls. At the top of the range are digital SLRs.

The E-PM1 has image stabilisation, manual exposure controls and manual focusing. It also has a 35 point Auto Focus system and AF tracking. The OM-D E-M5 is aimed at the photography enthusiast with its price tag coming in towards the top end for a Compact System Camera. It is splashproof and dustproof. There is a burst mode that can shoot at a rate of 9 frames per second. It is also capable of shooting Full High Definition Movies. It has a 3 inch LCD screen and an electronic viewfinder.
The SH-21 has a wide angle lens, can shoot Full 1080p High Definition movies and can produce 3D stills photographs. Olympus have equipped the camera with image stabilisation, plus a mode for increasing the detail showing in the darkest and lightest areas of your shots. The LCD screen is 3 inches in size and the battery can be charged via a USB terminal.
Aside from its obvious ability to zoom in on distant subjects the SP-720UZ is able to squeeze in wide scenes and can focus from 1cm away from your subject in macro mode. There is a burst mode that can reel off up to 6 shots at a rate of 5 frames per second. You can shoot High Definition movies and there is a 3D still photo feature. The LCD screen is 3 inches in size.
The SP-810UZ offers exceptional zoom power with a 36x zoom lens. It has a mode for shooting 3D still images and can also record High Definition movies. Image stabilisation is available and there is a 3 inch LCD screen for composing your photos. For close up shots there is a macro mode that can focus from 5 cm away form your subject. The SP-810UZ is available in silver and black.
The big attraction of the Olympus SP-820UZ is the 40x zoom lens. This gives you the flexibility to photograph more or less any typical photo opportunity. Other features include a 3 inch LCD screen, a macro mode that can focus from 1cm away from your subject and the ability to shoot High Definition Movies. Power is supplied by AA batteries.

The Olympus TG-820 is one of the most robust digital cameras you will find. It can withstand depths of 10m, is shockproof to falls of 2m and can work in temperatures as low as -10 degrees centigrade. In addition it is also crushproof to weights of 100kg. There is a 3 inch LCD screen, image stabilisation and a Full 1080p High Definition movie mode. Olympus have also included the ability to produce 3D still photos and battery charging via a USB port.
The VG-170 is a pocket sized, budget digital camera. It has a wide angle lens, a 3 inch LCD screen and can shoot High Definition movies. In addition it has a 3D still photos mode as well as a function that allows you to charge the battery via a USB connection. This camera is also compatible with Eye-Fi memory cards. These cards can transfer images wirelessly to a computer.
The VH-410 is one of the cheaper touch controlled digital cameras. In terms of features it is a fairly basic camera. This helps to keep everything simple. Features include a 3 inch LCD screen, High Definition Movies and Image Stabilisation. The battery can be charged by connecting the camera to a computer USB port.
The VR-340 packs in a lot of zoom for the price and body size. Features include High Definition movies, a 3D still photography mode and a 3 inch LCD screen. There is also image stabilisation and you can charge the battery via a USB port. The VR-340 has a metal body and is compatible with Eye-Fi memory cards. These cards allow wireless downloads of your photos.
The XZ-1 has plenty of advanced features. These include manual exposure controls, image stabilisation and High Definition movies. There are a number of optional extras available too. For example you can add an external flash unit, viewfinder and stereo microphone.
