Details of Minolta Dimage E223 and Where to Find the Best Prices

Digital Cameras The Minolta Dimage E223 is Minolta's entry-level digital camera. It has a range of automated functions that make it easy to use and it will appeal to people who are looking for a digital camera that they can simply turn on and start taking pictures with. It is a 2 megapixel digital camera, so photographs taken with the Minolta Dimage E223 can produce high quality prints of up to 5x7".

The camera has a 3x optical zoom lens. There is also a macro mode that can retain sharp focus down to 8cm (3.1in) for close-up photographs. Exposure, focus, white balance, and flash are all controlled automatically. All you need to do is point and shoot.

Short movies of up to 60 seconds can be made. The movies also have sound. Before taking a picture or for reviewing the shot afterwards there is a 1.5 inch LCD screen. Images can also be played back through a television set. The camera weighs (inc. batteries) 280 g (9.9 oz) and its dimensions are 107 x 67 x 38 mm (4.2 x 2.6 x 1.5 in).

Images can be saved to a tiny, removable SD Memory card or MultiMediaCard, or to the camera's built-in 8MB memory. Images can also be copied between the memory card and camera memory. To transfer the data from the camera, connect the USB cable, and drag and drop the images into a computer.

Minolta always has a good reputation for producing high quality traditional 35mm cameras. This quality has been maintained throughout their digital camera range and the Minolta Dimage E223 is no exception.

Pros
3x optical zoom lens.
Good picture quality.
Movie mode with sound.
Television playback..
Fully automated operation.

Cons
There are no real drawbacks to this camera. The only thing I would say is that there are lighter models around in the easy to use, point and shoot category.

If you are looking for an easy to use digital camera that won't break your budget then the Minolta Dimage E223 is well worthy of your consideration. It is a well made camera that takes good pictures. If you are looking for a digital camera that offers something different to the norm and is very small and lightweight then take a look at the Minolta Dimage Xt. If you would like a similar camera to this, but with a higher specification try the Minolta Dimage S414.
