Extra Zoom Digital Cameras - View the Current Range

This type of digital camera typically offers around 12x zoom. This compares to more standard digital cameras offering around 5x zoom and super zoom models with in excess of 20x and sometimes 30x zoom. One of the big advantages of buying this type of camera is that they often come in a relatively compact size. Not quite as small as a pocket sized digital camera, but much smaller than the super zoom models. This feature often makes them attractive to holiday makers and travellers as they do not take up too much room in your luggage. In fact a lot of extra zoom cameras will slip into a large pocket.

When it comes to features there is a fair amount of choice. A large proportion of these cameras offer manual exposure controls for the more serious photographer. Most models are capable of shooting High Definition movies. A much smaller number will record stereo sound. There are also a small number of cameras that have GPS tagging. This feature will tag each photo you take with a reference so that you can tell exactly where you were in the world when the picture was taken.
